Bronze with tin as the main alloying element. The tin content is generally between 3% and 14%, mainly used for making elastic components and wear-resistant parts. The tin content of deformed tin bronze does not exceed 8%, and sometimes elements such as phosphorus, lead, and zinc are added. Phosphorus is a good deoxidizer and can also improve fluidity and wear resistance. Adding lead to tin bronze can improve machinability and wear resistance, while adding zinc can improve casting performance. This alloy has high mechanical properties, wear reducing properties, and corrosion resistance. It is easy to cut, has good brazing and welding properties, has a small shrinkage coefficient, and is non-magnetic. Bronze bushings, shaft sleeves, anti magnetic components and other coatings can be prepared by wire flame spraying and arc spraying. The size specifications are Ø 1.6mm and Ø 2.3mm. It has high strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent casting performance, and has been widely used in various industrial sectors for a long time.
(1) Tin bronze is a copper based alloy with tin as the main alloying element. Tin bronze used in industry mostly has a tin content between 3% and 14%. Tin bronze with a tin content of less than 5% is suitable for cold processing; Tin bronze with a tin content of 5% to 7% is suitable for hot processing; Tin bronze with a tin content greater than 10% is suitable for casting.
Tin bronze is widely used in industries such as shipbuilding, chemical engineering, machinery, and instrumentation. It is mainly used to manufacture wear-resistant parts such as bearings and shaft sleeves, elastic components such as springs, as well as corrosion-resistant and anti magnetic parts.
Beryllium bronze is a type of Wuxi bronze with beryllium as the main alloy component. Containing 1.7-2.5% beryllium and small amounts of nickel, chromium, titanium and other elements, after quenching and aging treatment, the strength limit can reach 1250-1500MPa, which is close to the level of medium strength steel. In the quenched state, it has good plasticity and can be processed into various semi-finished products. Beryllium bronze has high hardness, elastic limit, fatigue limit, and wear resistance, as well as good corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity. It does not produce sparks when impacted and is widely used as an important elastic component, wear-resistant part, and explosion-proof tool.
Beryllium bronze has excellent comprehensive properties. Its mechanical properties, including strength, hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue resistance, rank first among copper alloys. Its conductivity, thermal conductivity, non-magnetic properties, and spark resistance cannot be compared to other copper materials. In the solid solution soft state, the strength and conductivity of beryllium bronze are both at their lowest values. After work hardening, the strength is improved, but the conductivity is still at its lowest value. After aging heat treatment, its strength and conductivity significantly increased.
Jiasheng Copper Materials specializes in customized production and processing of c17200 beryllium bronze, beryllium copper plate, beryllium copper punch, beryllium copper wholesale service, etc. Beryllium copper is made from high-quality raw materials, melted in a professional vacuum furnace, and produced using a new semi continuous casting process and large tonnage forging, completely eliminating adverse phenomena such as porosity and sand holes in the product.
